The New York Rangers will look a little different on Monday night when they take to the Madison Square Garden ice to host the last-place Columbus Blue Jackets.
Though Chris Brown, acquired from the Washington Capitals on Sunday night, will likely not be in the lineup, their other new addition likely will be. Eric Staal, acquired on Sunday as well in arguably the biggest trade of this year’s deadline, will suit up in his first game with someone other than the Carolina Hurricanes.
Staal brings a much needed boost to the top nine of the Rangers lineup, giving them improved depth for really very little return.
