The speculation about John Davidson getting the New York Rangers presidents job has hit a fever pitch. Once Steve Yzerman signed up to be the Red Wings’ general manager, the list of contenders for the Rangers job was narrowed to one, John Davidson.
Amazingly, no one was able to ask J.D. about the job until he did an ESPN podcast two days ago. It didn’t get much attention until Friday when ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski published a brief recap of the interview.
Unsurprisingly, he maintained that he has had no contact with the Rangers and isn’t even thinking about the job.
