During the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, the New York Rangers selected Pavel Buchnevich 75th overall. In May of 2016, he officially signed with the Rangers.
Since then, he has begun to make a name for himself in New York. In his first season on Broadway, Buchnevich played in 41 games, scoring eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points.
Buchnevich played in five games in the 2017 playoffs and recorded on point, an assist. Last season, the forward played 74 games, with 14 goals scored and 29 assists tallied for 43 points in total.
