You can’t win them all, and for the New York Rangers, if they were going to lose a game, they might as well lose to the team preventing them from staying on track to play the Atlantic Division in the playoffs, the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Rangers did not play bad, controlling play for much of the first and second period. Sergei Bobrovsky was phenomenal for the Blue Jackets, who now jump into third place in the Metropolitan Division standings.
It was the Blue Jackets who were the ones to capitalize on their opportunities in this one.
