The Houston Rockets social media staff: They shoot horses, don’t they?
As the Rockets finished off a first-round series triumph over the Dallas Mavericks with a 103-94 Game 5 win, the team’s official Twitter account posted a murderous, emoji-laden message directed at their equine-logo opponents:
First the Mavericks galloped over to the high road:
Then, Twitter being Twitter, and sensitivity about animal euthanasia being what is is, the Rockets soon deleted the offensive tweet and issued an apology.
