NBC play-by-play Mike “Doc” Emrick is in a New York state of mind, calling the majority of the Rangers-Penguins series and Game 3 of the Islanders-Capitals series. He talked with the Post’s Justin Terranova before the puck dropped on the NHL playoffs.
Q: Are you looking forward to calling at least one more game at Nassau Coliseum?
A: Not only is it historic, but is one of our best broadcast locations. You have a good chance to identify players, which I’ve always found helpful. It’s very similar to Montreal and the new location at the Garden is tremendous, too.
