New York Rangers’ Kevin Hayes Needs To End Struggles Now

New York Rangers‘ forward, Kevin Hayes, really upped his game in the 2nd half of the regular season, so much that some believe he should be at least mentioned in the Calder Trophy discussion for rookie of the year.  In 79 games played in the regular season, playing predominately center on the Rangers’ 3rd line, Hayes recorded 17 goals, 28 assists, totaling 45 points, and was a +15.

However, in the postseason, through the 1st two games, Hayes has done nothing to resemble his performance in the regular season.  I will not even hesitate to say that Hayes has been absolutely dreadful in his 1st two postseason games of his career, with 0 goals, 0 assists, and a -2.
