New York Rangers Free Agency: Matt Hunwick to Toronto Maple Leafs

As soon as free agency began, former New York Rangers defenseman, Matt Hunwick, signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs to a two-year contract worth $2.4 million, according to TSN.

The 30-year-old came to New York as a free agent, signing a one-year $600,o00 contract after four seasons with the Colorado Avalanche and four with the Boston Bruins before that.

With the Rangers, Hunwick registered two goals and 11 points in 55 games. He was a +17 in the plus/minus column and had spent just 16 minutes in the penalty box.
