NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Mets fans are gearing up for Wednesday night’s do-or-die game that will decide whether their team advances in the playoffs.
The wild card game against the San Francisco Giants takes place at Citi Field in Flushing.
With just hours to go before the showdown, fans were picking up new shirts and jerseys Wednesday morning at the Mets Clubhouse store in Midtown.
“I’m totally watching the game. It’s gonna be incredible,” fan Jennifer Ramanand said.
“Another year, another chance for the World Series,” fan Ryan McCormick said.

The team is trying to prove it is in fact made for October.
