The rise of Michael Conforto is dooming Curtis Granderson

MILWAUKEE — As one middle-of-the-order outfielder continues to decline and could be out of a starting job shortly, another one surfaced Sunday.

Curtis Granderson remains dreadful as he went 0-for-3 with a walk to drop his average to .144. Granderson owns a .272 slugging percentage and a .206 on-base percentage.

Michael Conforto moved from first to third in the Mets’ order and delivered a huge day in the terrible 11-9 loss to the Brewers on Sunday at Miller Park.

Granderson is 36 and his age is showing and certainly will lose his job the moment Yoenis Cespedes returns, and maybe even before that if the Mets decide to go with Juan Lagares in center or T.
