Outfielder Tim Tebow will join the New York Mets' minor league camp on Monday, a week earlier than expected, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo.
He will have a press conference before working out at the minor league fields, according to Newsday's Marc Carig.
Tebow, who signed a $100,000 deal to join the Mets last summer, is likely to be invited to play in Grapefruit League games during spring training, GM Sandy Alderson said in December.
"I certainly hope you will see Tim Tebow in some of our games," manager Terry Collins said in December.
