Mostly Mets: Know Your Enemy, Nationals Edition

The scouting reports say that high fastballs are the best way to neutralize Yoenis Cespedes, according to a report by Bob Klapisch in the Bergen Record.

The Mets and Kevin Long are working to change this behavior.

"We're trying to close the gap for Yoenis, between great and dangerous, so that he's both," Long told Klapisch. "What he's capable of doing to pitches in the strike zone is downright lethal, but the idea is get him to swing at only strikes."

Yo! is coming off a year in which his walk rate dropped, but he hit more line drives and home runs than at any point in his career.
