Minors 7.26.16: Colton Plaia's three-hit night paces B-Mets

LAS VEGAS at FRESNO: Box

BINGHAMTON 5, READING 2: Colton Plaia belted a two-run homer in the ninth, his first long ball as a B-Met, to cap his three-hit night and seal Binghamton’s win. Plaia had opened the game's scoring with a two-out RBI single in the second. An inning later, Victor Cruzado threaded a two-run homer inside the right-field foul pole for a 3-0 lead. Rainy Lara, thrust back into the rotation in place of Josh Zeid, slipped out of two bases-loaded jams while tossing five scoreless innings.
