Collins reluctantly addressed Noah Syndergaard's right elbow issue after Wednesday's win against the Kansas City Royals.
The daily postgame press conference appeared to be over, as Collins started to get up from the microphone. However, Vice President of Media Relations Jay Horwitz signaled for Collins to tell reporters why Syndergaard left the game in the sixth inning, despite no one asking about the situation.
"The puppy dog wants you guys to know that Noah Syndergaard's seeing the doctor," a visibly annoyed Collins said.
