Mets' depth shows they match up well against Nationals

In the wake of losing two out of three games to the Nationals last week at Citi Field, the Mets won two of three from the Nationals this week in Washington D.C. And they did it with a rookie starting pitcher, Eric Campbell as their everyday first baseman, rookie Matt Reynolds temporarily playing over Asdrubal Cabrera and Rene Rivera behind the plate.

Now, they arrive to Citi Field just a half-game out first place knowing they're equally strong and equally flawed as their top rival.

"Hopefully, we can beat these guys on a consistent basis, but I don't foresee this being a one-sided affair this year," David Wright said, after Wednesday's win.
