The Amazin’s rolled out their new Citi Field menu Wednesday for the 2016 season, including a “smokeshack cheeseburger” with smoked bacon from the Shake Shack, a spicy fried chicken sandwich from the Asian restaurant Fuku, and a pepperoni pizza from the Papa Rosso pizza counter.
“This is a dream to be a part of this season here at Citi Field,” said Fuku chef David Chang. “Growing up watching baseball games with my dad was like the one experience that was real Americana.”
Other additions to the ballpark bill of fare as the Mets gear up to defend their National League pennant include crispy chicken poppers from Box Frites and mac ‘n’ cheese from Blue Smoke on the Road.
