Not everyone is so joyous singing, “Meet the Mets.”
After losing a bet with New York representative Steve Israel (D-NY), California congressman and Los Angeles Dodgers fan Adam Schiff (D-CA) painfully belted “Meet the Mets” – the catchy Mets fight song – on the House floor Friday.
“I rise today to congratulate congressman Steve Israel and his beloved New York Mets after they defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers last week,” Schiff said to the House floor. “I lost a bet with congressman Israel so now Steve, this song is for you.”
In the video, Schiff sports a gold and black tie with two Mets logos that seem to be poorly pasted on.
