Granderson limited at camp due to eye issue

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Mets outfielder Curtis Granderson did not participate in regular workouts Monday or Tuesday due to conjunctivitis. Shortly after Granderson arrived at the team's complex early Monday morning, the Mets sent him to a doctor, who confirmed the initial diagnosis.

"He came today, it was pretty red," manager Terry Collins said Monday. "To be cautious, pink eye can be very contagious, so we sent him to the doctor to see what it was."

Granderson, 34, returned to the Mets' complex early Tuesday for treatment, but he was not expected to participate in workouts.
