Cespedes says right quad, not his hip, is sore

After the Mets announced OF Yoenis Cespedes left Sunday afternoon's game due to right hip tightness, Cespedes told reporters after the game that his right quadriceps that is sore.

Cespedes singled in his only at-bat in the first inning and was seen stretching while on base. He scored on Todd Frazier's sacrifice fly before he was replaced by Brandon Nimmo.

Cespedes said he first felt pain on Saturday and left Sunday's game as a precaution. He is unsure if he will be able to play in the Mets' series opener against the Reds in Cincinnati.
