Alex Rodriguez ordered to hand over medical records

A Florida judge ordered Alex Rodriguez’s private eye firm to turn over medical records and other documents to attorneys representing former University of Miami pitching coach Lazaro Collazo.

At a hearing in Miami-Dade Circuit Court on Thursday, Judge Barbara Areces rejected Guidepost Solutions’ objections to Collazo’s request for the documents and a 20-day extension. She ordered the private investigation firm to produce the papers within 10 days.

Collazo sued Rodriguez, Guidepost Solutions and A-Rod’s longtime business associate Jose (Pepe) Gomez in March, claiming they violated state law by sharing Collazo’s medical records with federal prosecutors, the Drug Enforcement Administration and other third parties.
