The New York Knicks can’t buy a consistent stream of victories and Carmelo Anthony can’t seem to escape the rumor mill. Whether factual or fallacy, there have been incessant rumors that Anthony either would or wouldn’t accept a trade.
Regardless of whether or not team president Phil Jackson actually plans to convince Anthony to accept a trade, it’s beyond time they meet face to face.
Anthony has a no-trade clause that enables him to accept or decline any trade offer that he’s included in. In other words: the Knicks can propose, field, or agree to any trade they please, but Anthony is in full control of his own future.
