Is Jeff Hornacek losing his grip on the Knicks?

Late in the third quarter Monday, Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek yelled at Derrick Rose after Atlanta’s Dennis Schroder blew by him for a layup. Rose, at the next play stoppage, could be seen screaming in Hornacek’s direction as the coach stood by the scorer’s table.

Carmelo Anthony went over to Rose to calm him down. At the end of the quarter, Knicks assistant coach Corey Gaines soothed Rose while the other coaches huddled.

At another point during the game, after Hornacek yanked Kyle O’Quinn, the Knicks’ backup center glared at the coach for a couple of seconds too long.
