Rehabbing Carmelo Anthony checks in on Liberty

A rehabbing Carmelo Anthony briefly made an appearance at the Liberty practice on Thursday at the team’s Westchester facility before team president Isiah Thomas held court during media day with a 25-minute question-and-answer session.

Knicks assistant Jim Cleamons also took in a Liberty practice on Tuesday.

Thomas, who didn’t want to talk about Knicks president Phil Jackson, also didn’t talk about Anthony.

A Knicks spokesman said that Anthony is rehabbing daily from his February debridement/repair surgery on his left knee at the Knicks’ facility, where the Liberty also practices. The spokesman said that Anthony has not taken his rehab to the basketball court, and is just trying to strengthen and rehab his knee.
