It’s been a disappointing week for Knicks fans as we’ve learned we’ll be picking 4th in the Draft therefore falling from the second seed. However, I’d like to use an expression that’s been thrown around a lot the last two days: “It’s a blessing in disguise”.
Indeed, when looking at the free agents class of 2015, it’s undeniable there’s a tremendous amount of big men the Knicks can pursue. From Gasol to Aldridge, Monroe to Jordan, it’s safe to say there will be plenty of options. Cheaper ones may include Robin Lopez, the defensive cornerstone and shot blocker.
On the other hand, the two best point guards in this free agent class, Goran Dragic and Brandon Knight are very likely to stay put.
