Knicks Rumors: Cavs GM David Griffin to Knicks with Steve Kerr hire?

In today's look into Knicks rumors, Cleveland Cavs acting general manager David Griffin could be on his way to the New York Knicks if Steve Kerr is hired as the Knicks' head coach.

So posits Terry Pluto of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, "from 2007-10, David Griffin served in what amounted as a general manager's job. That was when Steve Kerr was president of the Phoenix Suns. Kerr made the final decisions, but Griffin had a major say on draft picks and trades. That's why it's assumed Griffin would go to New York if Kerr is named coach there -- and if the Cavs don't make Griffin the full-time general manager."

The Cleveland Cavs have not announced what direction they will go in regard to either Griffin's post as general manager nor Mike Brown's position as head coach.

Therefore, the intriguing option of Griffin returning to work for one if his old bosses is presented -- mirroring Steve Kerr's possible chance at working for one of his old employers in New York Knicks president of basketball operations Phil Jackson.
