Dolan hired Isiah Thomas on Tuesday to be the president of basketball operation for the WNBA’s New York Liberty. This is not like when George Steinbrenner re-hired Billy Martin after firing him repeatedly. This is more like if every American who was fooled into buying Saturday’s boxing event chose to pay again to watch its re-broadcast Saturday on Showtime and HBO.
