Now checking in at quarterback for the New York Jets: a private-equity intern.
Come the fourth preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles, there's a chance the Jets trot John Wolford out to lead the huddle. About a week ago, Wolford was huddling with a private equity fund in North Carolina.
"It would be an internship and we were still figuring out what that would be," Wolford said. "I was a finance major at Wake Forest, so that's the industry track, technically, I would go if football didn't work out."
For right now, though, Wolford is trying to make football stick.
