Veteran QB on the Way?
Midway through practice Tuesday, GM Mike Maccagnan met with the media and expressed the desire to add a veteran signal caller. Currently the Jets have three healthy QBs and both of their rookies – Bryce Petty and Jake Heaps – have never taken a regular season snap in the NFL. “I don’t want to necessarily put a time frame on that, but it is something we are looking to do,” he said. “Obviously Geno is going to be out for a period of time. Not to read between the lines on anything with any of our quarterbacks - I think it’s just something we would like to have in the mix.
