Matt Flynn vs. Josh Johnson make Jets' preseason finale meaningful

One punch from former Jets defensive lineman IK Enemkpali not only broke Geno Smith's jaw, but scrambled the quarterback situation irrevocably for the 2015 season. So, Thursday night's final preseason game against the Eagles at MetLife Stadium hardly is meaningless because it's critical to determine the pecking order for the backup quarterback role behind new starter Ryan Fitzpatrick.

First-year Jets head coach Todd Bowles indicated earlier that Matt Flynn, who was signed Aug. 19 after being waived by the Patriots, and Josh Johnson, who was signed last Thursday after being waived by the Bengals, will take the majority of snaps.
