ATLANTA — It has been 50 years since Joe Namath led the Jets to their only Super Bowl title.
Namath believes 50 years has been a long enough wait for another championship.
“I want it,” Namath said here Saturday night. “We want it, the fans. There are teams that haven’t even been to one yet, let alone winning one. It’s a competitive game. It may sound corny. I’ve said it many times. Ownership can change, coaches can change, players change. But those fans that came over when they were the Titans and joined the Jets and are still there, the New Jersey fans joined forces.
