Braden joined the Jets as an undrafted free agent after the 2017 draft. He played in all four preseason games, getting 89 offensive snaps, then was waived, and returned to the team to spend all 17 regular-season weeks on the practice squad.

Kirven, a starter for the Crimson Tide at the end of the 2016 season, spent the offseason and preseason with Tampa Bay, was on Cleveland's practice squad for a month, then signed with the Jets' P-squad on Dec.
