Jets rookie Ross Martin celebrates career-long FG, receives pink slip

What a way to go out.

Rookie placekicker Ross Martin was waived Sunday by the New York Jets, but he left with a nice addition to his resume -- a 55-yard field goal in Saturday night's 21-20 loss to the New York Giants. It was a career long.

The Jets already had decided to keep incumbent Nick Folk, who didn't do anything to lose the job, but they gave Martin a chance to audition for 31 other teams.
