A seven-member Jets contingent was aboard the Coast Guard cutter Spencer for its part in the five-vessel parade up and down the Hudson River to kick off Fleet Week activities on May 20.
Cornerback Bobby Jackson and wide receiver Wesley Walker represented the Jets alumni on the Spencer. Also in the group were Flight Crew Cheerleaders Emily and Donna Marie, George Barbetto from Event Operations, and Chris Ubbens and James Castronuovo from the multimedia department.
"Just being a part of it, being around the military personnel and being out there in the harbor around Manhattan, it was a great experience," said Jackson, who spent all eight of his Jets seasons as a starting LCB from 1978-85, of his first first-hand Fleet Week experience.
