Giants got taste of how menacing Jets defense can be

The Jets defense looks ready for the Bengals.

While Gang Green’s offense had some hiccups Saturday night against the Giants in its third preseason game, the starting defense played about as well as Todd Bowles could have hoped.

The Giants managed just 47 yards against the Jets’ starting defense in the first half. Giants quarterback Eli Manning was intercepted by Darrelle Revis, the Giants had three three-and-outs and their longest drive was six plays. Happy with what he saw, Bowles removed the starters at halftime.

“I think right now we’re satisfied with where we’re at,” Revis said.
