The war of words between the Jets and their former head coach keeps escalating.
Willie Colon echoed remarks by teammate Jace Amaro, who said last week that player tardiness was an issue under Rex Ryan during 2014.
“I believe in keeping things in house, but for the most part it was an issue,” Colon said on April 10 on Sirius XM radio, according to host Alex Marvez. “It’s one of those things where as a pro ball player it’s not hard to be there on time.”
Colon added new head coach Todd Bowles has preached accountability from the get-go, addressing the topic during his first message to the team when their offseason program began two weeks ago.
