After spending parts of three seasons with the New York Islanders, and not receiving a new contract with the Islanders, or any other NHL team for that matter Prince decided to join HC Davos.
Prince, now 25-years-old, was a deadline acquisition by Garth Snow during the 2015-2016 season. Even though Prince only had five points in 20 games with the team in the regular season, he played a much bigger role in the playoffs.
Playing in all 11 playoff games that year, Prince scored three goals and even added an assist as well. Prince’s ceiling in the NHL and for the Islanders was a third line forward.
