It is now four months until the New York Islanders next drop the puck.
The team announced its 2016-17 preseason schedule on Thursday, and there will be no split-squad trips out to the Canadian West nor the Maritimes.
There is one split-squad date, early in the schedule, but all games are in the eastern corridor against fellow Metropolitan Division:
- Tue. Sept. 27 7 p.m.: Wells Fargo Center vs. Philadelphia Flyers (split squad)
- Tue. Oct. 4 7 p.m.: Barclays Center vs. New York Rangers
