New York Islanders blow second 2-0 lead, lose in OT to Flyers (Highlights)

A familiar script haunted the New York Islanders in their 3-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers in overtime on Sunday night.

Weight’s team plan did not pan out as he wanted, despite the Islanders grabbing a 1-0 and then 2-0 lead.

Nick Leddy slammed home a shot that was missed by both John Tavares and Josh Bailey.

Despite being outshot and out-chanced throughout the night the Islanders would find ways to break through.

The Flyers almost always had jump over their opponents, generating a total of 47 shots on goal.

It’s the second time this season the Islanders allow more than 40 SOG at home, the last time it happened was against, yep, the Flyers.
