The Islanders lost a tough one on Saturday and had to go up against one of the better defensive teams in the league tonight in the Dallas Stars. The game couldn't have started any better for the Isles.
Anthony Beauvillier got the Islanders on the board 1:30 into the game thanks to a beautiful backhand goal. The Isles came out buzzing and were able to capitalize early against Ben Bishop.
The high volume of shots continued but at the 14:08 mark of the period, Denis Gurianov would get one back on the power play.
