NEW YORK -- Claude Giroux scored with 1:40 left in overtime Sunday night as the Philadelphia Flyers stopped a pair of losing streaks with a 3-2 victory over the New York Islanders at Barclays Center.

Giroux put back the rebound of a wraparound attempt by Shayne Gostisbehere for the Flyers (23-19-6), who came back from a 2-0 deficit to snap an overall three-game losing streak (0-3-0) as well as a nine-game road losing streak (0-7-2).

Wayne Simmonds and Ivan Provorov also scored for the Flyers and Steve Mason stopped 36 of 38 shots.

Nick Leddy and Alan Quine scored for the Islanders (19-17-9), who had a three-game winning streak snapped as they lost for the first time under interim head coach Doug Weight.
