O-line continuity — which every team craves — could bite Giants

Continuity is a great thing as far as familiarity and comfort — traits especially welcome along an offensive line, where five players must think and act as one. As former Giants general manager Ernie Accorsi always said, it is just like the fingers on a hand working together to form a fist.

This is all well and good. However, you know there is a “but’’ lurking as the Giants prepare for the 2016 season.

As it currently stands, their offensive line could return intact from 2015, prompting more alarm than glee.

Three of the spots are safe and secure: Ereck Flowers at left tackle, Justin Pugh at left guard and Weston Richburg at center.
