Thursday's preseason finale between the Giants and the Patriots will be the final dress rehearsal for both teams - and for Sarah Thomas.
Thomas, the NFL's first female full-time referee, will serve as a line judge on veteran referee Pete Morelli's crew on Thursday night, continuing her ascent through the refereeing ranks.
Thomas was hired as the league's first female referee in a ground-breaking move in early April. Before that, she made history by becoming the first female official to work a major college football game, when she served as line judge for Memphis-Jacksonville State in 2007.
