NFC East’s Thanksgiving of doom is Giants’ godsend

Stuffed.

That’s how much of America rolled onto the couch after a Thanksgiving feast, and that’s how the Giants felt after the most productive and fulfilling holiday they could have imagined. Make that over-stuffed.

For an appetizer, the Giants nibbled on a bountiful helping of Eagles humble pie, watching as Chip Kelly’s unhappy group got embarrassed, 45-14 in Detroit to a Lions team that has awakened too late to save its season but just in time to ruin Philadelphia’s. And then, for the festive meal, the Giants dined on a heaping helping of Dallas barbecue, with Tony Romo getting burnt and the Cowboys getting toasted in a humbling 33-14 loss to the still-unbeaten Panthers at Jerry’s World AT&T Stadium.
