New Giants linebacker makes his former team pay

J.T. Thomas spent the past two seasons with the Jaguars, playing in 31 games, and he helped beat the Giants in 2014 with some spirited play in Jacksonville. Thomas is now a starting outside linebacker for the Giants and he saved some of his best work this summer for Saturday night’s 22-12 victory over his former team at MetLife Stadium.

Thomas had five tackles, one sack and one forced fumble crammed into an exceptional first half.

“Of course this is one, although it is a preseason game, that I had circled,’’ Thomas said. “It’s something that the guys in our building and the guys in the other building knew, that I would come out and give my best effort.
