ESPN’s Jordan Raanan interviewed former New York Giants’ defensive lineman Justin Tuck on his “Breaking Big Blue” podcast and the former sackmaster says that he almost retired before the 2011 NFL season.
While talking to Raanan, Tuck revealed that that year was very tough for him as he lost three uncles and his grandfather. He met with former Giants’ head coach Tom Coughlin during the 2011 season because of the funk he was in.
“Listen, at the time a lot of people don’t know this. I was thinking about retiring at the beginning of that year,” Tuck said.
