The New York Giants are coming off of one of the best defensive seasons in franchise history. New York’s revamped and reloaded defense was legitimately dominant, ranking No. 2 in the NFL in points allowed per game.
Despite the dominant nature of the defense, rumors have persisted that the Giants could break up the unit by trading one of their featured players.
A key aspect of New York’s defensive success was the elite duo at cornerback of Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Janoris Jenkins. Despite that resounding success, Rodgers-Cromartie could be traded during the 2017 offseason.
According to Jordan Raanan of ESPN’s NFL Nation, Rodgers-Cromartie’s trade value is, “Not that high,” and would likely only yield New York a fifth-round draft pick.
