Giants shake up roster with surprise cut of wide receiver Darius Powe

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants made mass changes to their roster with two games remaining and 18 days until the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.

The most surprising move was wide receiver Darius Powe being waived/injured on Wednesday. He had been struggling with a hamstring injury, but was expected to return to the field this week.

The Giants also waived offensive linemen Michael Bowie and Corin Brooks, and waived/injured wideout Andrew Turzilli. Bowie was charged with domestic abuse last week.
