Giants roster countdown, No. 8: Is Eli Manning on the decline?

Manning will make $13 million this season, all guaranteed. Next year is when his deal, which expires after the 2019 season, will get a bit interesting. Manning's base salary drops to $10.5 million in 2018 and then $11.5 million in 2019, but he is due a pair of $5 million roster bonuses early after the new league year opens each season.

The Giants made the playoffs, but Manning was not very good. He was mediocre at best, throwing 16 interceptions and fumbling seven times as the Giants' offense regressed considerably. Manning's line was not very good, but that's not enough to excuse his poor play.
