Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins took to social media on Thursday, releasing a statement regarding the body of Roosevelt Rene, a.k.a. Tryps Beats, who was found dead at Jenkins' home on June 26.
Jenkins' brother William H. Jenkins was charged with aggravated manslaughter in Rene's death. Following Giants minicamp, Jenkins returned to his home in Florida where he was at the time of Rene's death.
Rene was found dead in the basement of Jenkins' home in Fair Lawn, following a "physical altercation" with William H. Jenkins, who has a lengthy rap-sheet, which includes seven prior arrests.
