Giants cut three, sign four players out of rookie minicamp

The Giants continued their offseason roster tweaking on Monday, cutting three players and announcing the signings of four players from last weekend's rookie minicamp.

The Giants terminated the contracts of RB Chris Ogbonnaya, LB James Davidson and defensive back Thomas Gordon. None was expected to be a key contributor in 2015. Ogbonnaya saw time late last season on special teams. Davidson suited up for two games in December. Gordon, meanwhile, was in training camp with the club and joined the practice squad in December.

Those moves opened roster space for four rookie free agent signees. The club announced the signings of TE Will Tye, a Stony Brook product, DT Carlif Taylor, and RB Kenneth Harper.
